Oregon Coast, Nature’s Sand Painting

Sand Painting Forest 940x486 Oregon Coast, Natures Sand Painting Mother Nature does some very creative artwork. This image was taken at Seal Rock Beach on the Oregon Coast. I was walking around the tide pools and spotted this pattern in the sand, as I got closer it looked just like a forest of winter trees.

    I see an underwater kelp forest. In other words, the sea has painted above the surface a better-lit facsimile of its under-surface self (or has goaded its friend the wind into doing so).

    Amazing isn’t it? Thanks for stopping by Christopher, I know a little boy that would love a visit to the Oregon Coast, he would have a blast. I spent a lot of time remembering back to when my children were little and our family visits to the Coast. Fun memories.
